I'm a pretty private person and I really didn't want to create a social network profile on myself, but I felt that I had to for 23 Things. I've signed up for Facebook, but I'm not sure if I'll keep it beyond this program. I joined the Library 2.0 Interest Group. I became friends with one friend in real life. She may be my only friend on Facebook.
I didn't put anything in my profile yet. While a part of me likes the idea, I'm not all that comfortable with it yet. We'll see.
I joined Facebook over MySpace purely from an impression that MySpace has had more problems with privacy and creeps on it. That may be totally untrue, but I don't have a good impression of MySpace from so many negative news reports.
